Here is a quote from John McCain to a USA Today reporter:
"I'm not complaining," he said in the interview. "I think campaigns are tough. And I think we've run a very honorable campaign so far. And I'm confident at the end of this campaign that we'll look back with pride at the kind of campaign we ran."
honorable campaign huh? that is a stretch.
the vast majority of his ads do nothing to prop up his platform, they attack and twist his opponent's views. that is the definition of negative campaigning, something that McCain himself stated was unacceptable in american politics, and that he wouldn't do.
The flood of lies and half truths spewing from the GOP flat out disgusts me. they haven't shown the american people one idea to get us out of the trouble we are in aside from reinstating the draft, drilling for oil in places that have been banned for years, and another round of "tax cuts". yeah, tax cuts have really helped our situation as a country for the past 8 years...
the fact that McCain can look someone in the eye and say he is running an honorable campaign disgusts me. it is another in a long string of lies from someone who has let his self proclaimed presidential ambition replace any shred of integrity that he once possessed.
