ummm, excuse me but who was the candidate with all the gimmicks? stopping his campaign to get a fix for the economy? demonizing the lipstick on a pig comment? Throwing so much mud and hoping that one of the viral videos would stick? it wasn't Obama... guess you'd like to rewrite that section of history while amending the Bush 43 years...
McCain can barely spell economy, and the ideas he's thrown out (spending freeze, MOAR TAX CUTS!!!!!!!!!!) are absolute rubbish.
let me spell it out for you. The republicans have gotten so far from their roots because of the 9/11 attacks that they have no standing ground. perhaps in the next 10 years they will be able to revive and modernize their conservative roots, but until then they are going to be a political minority. They have alienated gays, non evangelical christians (meaning non christians as well as non extremist fundamentalist christians), non whites, and the young by their actions over the past 16 years, leaving an aging, dying party with no new blood. until they return to some sort of intelligent discussion from their constant lies, slogans, and stupidity, they will rot in political exile.
